Learning and Reflection Knowledge Base (LRKB) Reflection - Due Friday - 12/11
Technology has transformed all aspects of our lives, including what it means to be informed, knowledgeable, and creative. For this semester, you were encouraged to establish as Learning and Reflection Knowledge Base (LRKB) using the “cloud” application Evernote that could be used to accumulate resources related to American Public Education, school reforms and other topics of your choosing. Your LRKB is an online repository for articles, notes, references, and reflections, and is meant to extend your intelligence and creativity. Since everyone thinks in his or her own way, our LRKBs should also be different. The purpose of this assignment is to have you reflect on your use of some of the tools we used this semester such as Evernote, Evernote Web Clipper, and Zotero, and strategies, such as mindmaps, and reading summaries, and synthesis pages we used in this course.
Reflect on how you created and used your "LRKB" for this course in a series of paragraphs. In addition to an introduction and a conclusion, your LRKB reflection should answer at least 3 of the following questions or topics:
Describe your most consistent challenge in your learning this semester? What was your most difficult class? What made it so hard? What learning strategies did you use try to be successful?
How did you use Evernote and the Evernote Web Clipper to support your work in this course?
Describe your LRKB's organizational scheme. How many notebooks have your created? What (if any) tags are your using? What uses (if any) have you discovered for note links?
What other uses for your LRKB did you develop as you got more comfortable with Evernote?
Describe at least one strategy that YOU developed or adopted this semester to deepen your learning from what you did in high school. This could be a study strategy that you have adapted, a way to organize your research, or some other way of collecting or organizing new knowledge for writing, planning, etc. Did your LRKB contribute to this strategy? If so, explain how.
Reflect on how you think that viewing your notes as a lasting resource might affect how you participate in future courses.
If you decided not use Evernote this semester, explain why not. Describe what you have chosen to do instead in terms of organizing your course notes, conducting research, etc.
